Teeth Whitening

To whiten your teeth to a whiter brighter shade, differing concentrations of hydrogen peroxide or counterpart carbamide peroxide are used. To have the whitening gel in close contact with your teeth a custom tray is made from an imprint taken of your teeth. The gel is applied to those surfaces you are wanting to whiten, generally those teeth seen when you smile. We carry four different concentrations mainly due to differing treatment times and sensitivity levels of each individual’s teeth. They can be worn overnight or as little as 15 minutes depending on concentration and whether or not you encounter sensitive teeth.

Veneers

A Veneer is a term used to describe a facing for your teeth. When this term is used it is generally referring to your front teeth. The main goal of a laminate veneer is to hide and or change the shape or color of the underlying teeth. Veneers are usually made of a glass like substance called porcelain.
There's no reason to put up with gaps in your teeth or with teeth that are stained, badly shaped or crooked. Today a veneer placed on top of your teeth can correct nature's mistake or the results of an injury and help you have a beautiful smile.
Veneers are thin, custom-made shells crafted of tooth-colored materials designed to cover the front side of teeth. A dental technician makes them usually in a dental lab, working from a model provided by our office.
You should know that this is usually an irreversible process, because it's necessary to remove a small amount of enamel from your teeth to accommodate the shell.
Porcelain Crowns

A crown is a covering over a tooth that surrounds the tooth and protects it. It is placed over a tooth due to decay, cracks and protection from further damages. A crown can be made of several substances. An all porcelain crown contains no metal therefore being very esthetic and natural looking.
Esthetic Crown Lengthening- treatment of the “gummy smile”

Some individuals show more gums (gingiva) than others. We refer to this as a gummy smile. Crown lengthening specifically esthetic CL is where we remove some of the gum tissues with a specialized laser around the fronts of the teeth in the smile zone to show more of your underlying tooth structure. The results are dramatic and can change a smile drastically without having to do anything to the teeth.
If you feel you show too much gums when you smile and have questions about what can be done give us a call for a consultation.
